Chess centres in Ho Chi Minh City 54

Teaching is the busiest part of chess in Ho Chi Minh City, and much of it is organised in chains. Cờ Vua Sài Gòn has branches in shophouses and apartment blocks such as Richmond City, Golden Mansion and Vinhomes Central Park, with its head office at 119 Phổ Quang. RoyalChess, in Vietnamese Trung tâm Cờ Hoàng Gia, lists branches from Quận 1 to Mizuki Park in Bình Chánh and publishes a fee page per branch for courses of 16 sessions. T-Chess teaches in Tân Bình, Thủ Đức and the former Quận 10, from age three and a half.

Beside the chains stand single academies: V-Chess on Trần Lựu, which posts tournaments most months, Mind Chess in Vĩnh Lộc, iChess on Lê Văn Sỹ, Chess Plus Academy and Chess Fighters. A branch whose tile shows a tick and a date has a tournament or a post of its own on record. A branch marked unconfirmed is known only from its chain’s branch list, which gives an address but no date. The list is grouped by former district.
